Essential information
-
To maintain the integrity of my work, I only accept approximately ten commissions per season.
As of March 2026, four dates remain for this year. For 2027, six spots are currently open. The "fit" matters deeply to me; I am deliberate about the projects I take on to ensure our visions are aligned.
-
The process begins with the inquiry form on this site.
If your date is available, we will arrange a time to speak more deeply about your plans.
To formally reserve the date, I require a signed commission agreement and a 25% retainer.
-
I prefer to keep the business side of our relationship simple and transparent.
A 25% non-refundable retainer secures your date, along with a signed agreement.
The remaining balance is due at any point up to ten days before the wedding, either as a single payment or in monthly instalments —whichever best aligns with your preferences.
For celebrations outside of Toronto, all associated travel expenses will be clearly outlined in your initial proposal.
-
With absolute discretion. If you prefer your images never to appear on my website, in print, or social media, that request is honored without question.
Many of my clients are private individuals with no desire to share their personal lives publicly.
Your privacy is not a hurdle; it is a priority I respect completely.
-
I typically arrive as the morning begins to find its rhythm—usually an hour into hair and makeup—and remain until the story of the day feels complete, often after the formal dances.
I don’t work to a rigid stopwatch; I follow the pace of your day.
Once we’ve discussed your schedule, I can provide a clearer sense of the amount of coverage you’ll get from me.
-
I don’t believe in quotas.
Photography at this level is not a matter of volume, and a fixed number of images per hour is a metric that belongs to a different kind of work entirely.
Some celebrations yield thousands of moments; others are more quiet and contained.
My focus is entirely on the quality of the attention, not the accumulation of files.
The number though, on average, is in the hundreds.
-
Very little. I am at my best when I am simply allowed to observe. However, I find that getting to know you beforehand creates a more relaxed atmosphere on the day itself. If family portraits are important to you, we will plan those in advance so they sit comfortably within the flow of the afternoon rather than interrupting it. If you are working with a planner, I will coordinate with them early in the process.
-
Yes, though I accept a limited number of shorter commissions on weekends to ensure every client receives my full focus.
If you are planning something smaller and more intentional, please describe the day when you reach out, and I will prepare a tailored proposal.
-
While I am based in Toronto, my work often takes me elsewhere.
Over the last two decades, I have documented commissions in Paris, Rome, Tuscany, the Bahamas, New York, Napa Valley, and as far as Japan.
I am available for travel worldwide.
-
Without exception - me!
Every commission is photographed, edited, printed and delivered by me alone.
I do not double-book dates, nor do I send associates in my place.
-
Under Canadian law, I retain the copyright, but the practical application is simple: I deliver a complete collection for your unrestricted personal use. You are free to print and share them as you wish. In turn, I will never sell your images or use them commercially. My interest is solely in creating a lasting body of work for your family.
-
The short answer is yes. I photograph in RAW format, allowing me post process the files either way. I made a decision at the time of the editing (image culling process) and decide then which image looks best in colour vs monochrome. The files by default however are in colour and can be delivered like that.
