Meet Andreas, Documentary Wedding Photographer

Andreas is sought out by couples planning private events where the focus is on friends, family, and the experience of being together to celebrate this life event.

For over two decades, Andreas has photographed intimate weddings at private cottages in Muskoka, engagement parties in the vineyards in Niagara-on-the-Lake, full weekend events in Toronto, and Montreal, and destination weddings in Greece, Japan, Italy, San Francisco and the South of France.

His approach is based on providing a relaxed photography experience, allowing you to be fully present in the moment. He is unhurried, and largely invisible. His motto: true moments over manufactured perfection.

Andreas’ method of working allows him to capture intimate, candid photographs that showcase what the day felt like, from your perspective, and from your guests. It’s just him and a few small cameras. No assistants, no big production, nothing to pull your attention from the day itself.

The process of documenting your wedding experience begins with connection and conversation. He attends the rehearsal, and photographs the welcome party and full wedding day. Every photograph, every edit, and every hand made print is done by Andreas alone.

This is not a studio operation. It is a singular practice — much like the art and craft of photography.

Andreas accepts a total of just ten commissions each wedding season, ensuring that every couple receives his complete and undivided attention, from the first conversation to the moment their prints arrive at the door.

To arrange a consultation please share as much as you’d like about your event.
