Andreas is a documentary photographer who captures genuine human moments at weddings and private family events.
Andreas’ photographs challenge the preconceived idea of manufactured perfection in wedding photography with each event he documents being is an opportunity to honour and appreciate the unique moments that can never happen again.
His unconventional candid photographs are free from the assumptions and routines often associated with traditional wedding photography. Rather than force poses, choreograph or stage events, he captures genuine human moments of emotion and interaction that take place organically throughout the day.
Even after over two decades of photographing weddings, Andreas still approaches each event as it was his first. He allows curiosity to guide his creative process, where no one particular image, person or experience is deemed more relevant or important than the next — a sort of democratic approach which results in a set of original, unrepeatable photographs that are completely unique to each couple’s wedding experience.
