THE PHOTO EXPERIENCE.

I know that finding the right photographer is a daunting task. There are literally thousands of us in Toronto! Before you inquire though, I should let you know that I’m not the right photographer for every couple.

I tend to be chosen by down to earth couples who aren’t too precious about their wedding day plans. They want interesting and memorable photographs of their day, but their priority is the time spent with their closest of friends.

They want to enjoy that day fully, but they don’t want any of the usual stress or fuss often associated with “wedding photography” like posing or being told how to perform.

I am a documentary photographer, and I’ve done this work for over twenty years locally and abroad, but lately I find that I don’t really identify as a “wedding photographer” as dictated by current wedding industry trends. For me, wedding photography should be organic, without any set rules. I prefer to challenge the preconceived idea of manufactured perfection in wedding photography, and I often seek out images that could be considered intentionally imperfect.

My photography is about the people, the vibe, and keeping the process as easy as possible for all involved.
