INTIMATE, GENUINE & REAL DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
– FOR THE UNFILTERED.
YOU ARE MORE THAN SOMEONE ELSE’S PINTEREST INSPO PAGE.
CANDID DOCUMENTARY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY THAT’S UNCONVENTIONAL, UNSCRIPTED, AND UNAPOLOGETICALLY YOU.
MOMENTS OVER PERFECTION, FOR BOLD COUPLES DOING LIFE THEIR OWN WAY.
Hi, I’m Andreas, A Toronto Documentary Wedding Photographer.
I specialize in capturing candid, unscripted and intimate photographs for couples planning weddings in Toronto, across Southern Ontario and destination weddings in Europe.
Couples that book me basically all tell me the same thing:
✓ “We want great photos of our wedding but don’t want to make a big deal of it”
✓ “We feel awkward and are a little shy”
✓ “We just want great photos of us enjoying the day”
✓ “We don’t want to pose and pretend”
And that’s perfect, because that’s where I come in as your wedding photographer.
The way I work with my clients:
✓ Put people at ease
✓ Capture intimate, candid, and relaxed photos of everyone enjoying your wedding day
✓ Don’t make the wedding about me. No fuss, no stress, no distractions
I’ve included a portfolio at the bottom of the page, as well as client testimonials, and some information about my booking process and my pricing.
I respond quickly, so you’ll hear back from me likely within an hour whether or not I’m available or not, and from there we’ll set up a time to talk and get to know one another.
Wedding planning is a lot of work, with what feels like a million different decisions that need to be made.
That's why I make booking me one of the easiest things to do.
Instead of overwhelming you with a dozen similar packages, I offer one clear level of service and an easy and secure online booking process.
No confusing "extras" or hidden options — just a straightforward way to book me as your photographer so you can move on with your day.
HOW TO BOOK ME.
1: Inquire
I respond to inquiries within the same day, often within the hour to let you know if I’m available. If I am, we’ll go to the next step.
2: Let’s talk
If your date is still available, let's chat. We’ll set up a time that’s convenient for you to talk about your wedding plans.
3: Review and approve.
After our call, I'll send you a pre-signed contract detailing the services, deliverables, and outlining all the little details so that you can review and approve it online.
Because I often have multiple inquiries for the same date, I pre sign the contract and my booking policy is “first to sign”.
This entire process is easy, secure, and can be completed on your phone.
One Package.
With me as your wedding photographer you’ll get:

My style? Candid Documentary Wedding Photography.
My approach to documenting your wedding day is based on my motto of “moments over perfection” and on three core values that guide what I do.
If you want real candid photos that are unique to your wedding day and not a copy of someone else’s Pinterest inspo page — you have found your photographer.
01. Full Wedding Coverage only
No need to schedule your day to fit a certain timeframe just for me. This means you can relax and enjoy it all, while I spend the day photographing it for you from the start to the end. I follow along with your schedule.
02. Nothing fake, nothing staged, nothing awkward
Why fake anything when the organic moments feel so much better anyway?
Candid documentary style photographs show the genuine moments and emotions far better than any sort of manufactured moment or forced poses.
That’s why, as your photographer, you’ll never be told how to hold one another…because if you’re really into each other you already know how to do that quite well.
03. No added stress
I spend about 95% of the day simply observing, and capturing candid photographs without much fuss or distractions to you or your guests.
This is your wedding day. Not the Andreas show.
Questions couples often ask before booking me.
Can we ask you to take photos of certain people that are coming out of town and are very important to us, even if they aren’t candids?
Yes. From when you book to the wedding date, we’ll have a few phone calls to go over your wedding plans, go over any small details, and to discuss things like this. I often review the schedule of your day as well and make suggestions on timing if required, or if you’re working with a wedding planner, have meetings with them to make sure I know all the little details.
Some photojournalistic / documentary wedding photographers say they are “fly on the wall” photographers, is that how you will photograph our wedding?
No. Not anywhere near that. It’s actually the exact opposite of how to get really intimate and candid photos. It may seem counter intuitive, but being social and interacting relaxes everyone, they let their guard down, and that’s when I get the much more personal and intimate images you’re hiring me for.
Can you travel for our wedding?
For sure. While I am a “Toronto based documentary wedding photographer” my wife, two teenage daughters and I now live in Fergus Ontario, just over an hour outside of Toronto.
Most of my local area weddings are between Toronto, to Niagara on the Lake, as well as in the KW region, and sometimes up into Muskoka. I don’t charge a travel fee for those weddings either - mostly because I drive an EV.
If I’m staying overnight, or I’m flying somewhere, those additional costs are added to the photography fee.
What do you charge for a full day wedding?
To have me photograph your local Toronto area wedding, I charge 5,500.
If that’s within your budget, and you like the work I do, and would like to know more - let’s schedule a time to talk to one another.
You can learn all about my service and pricing here.
This is my first time planning a wedding and I’m not sure how to choose a photographer.
Well congrats! All but four couples (in 20 years) were planning their wedding for the first time as well, so you’re in good company.
As for how to choose a wedding photographer? I always say - go with your gut.
Do you like the work? Great, that’s the first thing, and fairly important, but even more important is this: Do you get along with them? At the very least, you should feel comfortable with them, which is why a phone call is very important.
