Photos from a Traditional Serbian Wedding in Toronto.
I’ve photographed many wedding over my time as a photographer. Some have been large multi day events spread out over multiple venues with hundreds in attendance - usually South Asian weddings.
Some have been very small, intimate family only gatherings. The smallest was a wedding dinner that took place in a home with just five in attendance.
This wedding was the shortest booking I’ve had in the past few years - one hour of coverage. I arrived, met the couple, and documented the next hour of their traditional Serbian Orthodox wedding ceremony, and then went back home.
I quite enjoyed this actually, I was locked in and focused on creating a sequence that would clearly outline what happened, who was there, and what cultural and traditional elements were present.
