A TRUSTED & RELAXED PRESENCE ON THIS EMOTIONAL DAY.
A NOTE ON MY WORKING STYLE
My approach is personal, relaxed, and based on connection & trust — a fundamental part of my process.
The photos I create challenge the idea of “perfection” often associated with wedding photography. Rather than try to manufacture it, I focus instead on capturing the real, unrepeatable, often unseen genuine human moments that make each wedding experience truly unique.
The way I photograph weddings is quite simple — a no-nonsense approach without any added stress on your wedding day.
Think of me as one of your guests, who may for a few moments of the day, direct you for some portraits and group photos.
Thank you for your consideration as your wedding day photographer — I look forward to speaking with you.

BELLES RIVES HOTEL
“Andreas’ work is phenomenal. He truly captures the moments that you wish you could freeze in time. Rather than having an assortment of super posed photos, I have a gallery that shows the energy and feeling of our wedding day. From start to finish, Andreas has been super supportive, involved, and fun to work with - and our guests loved him!”
MELISSA YOUNAN
“I booked Andreas as my documentary photographer because of how comfortable and beautiful the women in his photos look.”
VANJA PETKOVICH
‘Hey Andreas, your work is cool. Despite so many images being monochrome, your photos are so full of “colour” as they showcase the human energy present in that moment. A true gift!”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

2004 was my first year of photographing weddings, and prior to this I worked in the advertising and design world as a commercial photographer and digital retoucher.
My background is in design, and I studied architectural technology as well…however photography just took over and since 2004 I’ve photographed several hundred weddings locally in Toronto, and destination weddings in Europe, Japan, and parts of the US.

While it’s true that wedding photography as a genre is very similar and greatly influenced by trends, what makes each wedding photographer unique isn’t their presets or what poses they do — it’s them.
My background in design and expertise in post production and retouching helps me produce the final image I deliver to you.
My interest in documentary photography informs my style and approach to wedding photography.
But it’s my life experiences as a husband of 21 years, and father of two daughters that greatly impacts what I see, how I react, and what I photograph.
-
I hear you on that!
I guess the only way to really put you at ease about this is by telling you that my super power if you will, is being able to establish comfort and a sense of trust with people when I’m working.
Being photographed on this emotionally intense day is a LOT to ask of most people, but I can say that once the day comes, you won’t even notice me.
That’s part of how I work. I arrive alone, with a couple small cameras, and I become part of the wedding day…I don’t make the wedding day about me or about being photographed.

Anywhere really.
I now live just outside of Toronto, in the town of Fergus.
If you aren’t familiar with it, Fergus is just north of Guelph Ontario, and a five minute drive to Elora and The Elora Mill, a very popular wedding venue and boutique Hotel owned by Pearle Hospitality.
Most of the weddings I photograph are within Toronto, across the region including Muskoka, Niagara on the Lake, and even smaller local weddings in my town and in Elora.
I’ve travelled quite a bit to photograph weddings and have shot several across France, Italy, Greece, Japan, and parts of the US.
I like to say, I can photograph your wedding anywhere a plane flies and car can drive. =)
-
Yes, I simply don’t show them as those are pretty standard for any photographer.
I show a lot of the candid and sometimes “funny” images of weddings because that’s something I love doing, and what separates me from others.
I have a quick and fairly painless approach to this part of the day, so if you do book me, plan on only spending about 20 minutes of your wedding day on this part.
-
Being a Toronto wedding photographer, yes, the majority of the weddings I’ve covered have in fact been multi cultural.
I’ve photographed dozens of traditional Jewish, Indian, Chinese, Greek, Italian, Serbian weddings as well as many mixed culture weddings over my career.
It’s actually what I enjoy about this work — being able to witness something new is interesting to me and keeps me on my toes.
-
One of the great things about being a solo photographer is that I can pick and choose which weddings to photograph, and what that pricing will be.
Please feel free to inquire about your wedding, regardless the guest list - last year I photograph a wedding with five guests, and one with over four hundred.
-
Due to privacy requests, I generally don’t show every wedding I’ve shot online either here on this page or on social media.
I do have some galleries that I have been given permission to share on a password protected page, and I will share that with you after inquiring.

For sure!
Even if you’re not ready to inquire about having me shoot your wedding, please email me with your questions.
