An intimate wedding at The Diplomat in Hamilton Ontario.

This set of photographs was made in 2024 at The Diplomat Restaurant in Hamilton Ontario. The couple invited about sixty guests who arrived about half hour before the bride did. They all gathered, shared some drinks and then sat down for the short ceremony.

Right afterwards, guests went to the bar side of the space will the couple and I and their immediate family took a few quick group shots before going outside to the street to take a few images of them as the sun set.

Weddings at The Diplomat - or any other small restaurant are often focused more around the experience of spending that time with the family and friends rather than the “formality” often associated with weddings that take place at locations such as churches and reception halls.

This year, I have a couple of wedding at The Diplomat and I’ll share those on this site as well.
