WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY THAT FEEL LIKE HOME

Toronto Documentary Wedding Photographer

Welcome to Weddings By Andreas

Genuine moments, undeniable emotions. Artful documentary wedding photography for nostalgic couples planning a once-in-a-lifetime event.

Hey there, I’m Andreas.

I’m a Toronto documentary wedding photographer specializing in intimate documentary wedding photography in Toronto and abroad.

A client once said “Andreas, your photos feel like home” - and if I’m being honest, that really best describes my approach to this work. I’m dedicated to creating work for my clients that feel personal and completely unique to them.

Being someones wedding photographer is a fairly personal thing, and as your photographer, I’ll provide you with a set of one-of-a-kind photos that you too will want to showcase in your own home.

“Andreas was very easy-going and he made us feel comfortable. He managed to capture our wedding authentically while always conducting himself professionally, and our pictures turned out beautifully!”

– Lisa Mcilmoyle

The Experience

Intimate, personal, and your very own. A relaxed wedding photography experience without any fuss and distractions.

“We knew from looking all over Instagram that we didn’t want obviously staged images. Andreas gave us a set of beautifully honest and candid photos that we can call our own.”

– Liz Perry

Your wedding, your vision. Seize the day.

By creating space for you to simply embrace and enjoy the wedding you’ve planned, I can capture the spontaneous moments as they happen. The wedding lasts a day, but these photos last a lifetime.

Three men smiling at a party, one with a glass of wine, the middle wearing a tuxedo, the right with a bracelet, in a dimly lit room with other guests in the background.

“I had been to a few weddings last summer and knew that for my wedding, I wanted a photographer to just be there as a guest, and that’s what we got. It was easy being photographed by you.”

– Jody

It’s about observing, not directing.

This isn’t about creating an editorialized and overly staged “picture perfect” image, but rather paying attention to what’s happening, to create a set of images that capture the energy and emotion of the day.

A Foundation based on experience, and a passion for capturing the authentic.

Twenty years isn’t just a number, it’s the foundation of the experience and knowledge from having documented hundreds of weddings across a wide range of cultures and traditions.

What Documentary wedding photography is really all about.

It’s not just a trendy keyword, nor is it about recreating trendy images or working through a check list. It’s far more organic than that. It’s about observing and creating a set of images that are story driven.

Seize the day, and let me capture everything that happened.

Let me check if I’m available on your wedding date.

“Having Andreas photograph Sophie’s wedding felt as though he was just one of the guests. What I noticed was that he was calm and intentional in the moments he chose to capture.”

– David Massicott, Father of the Bride
